About Black History Season
Black History Season is a season of events and activities that encompasses the anniversary of Black History Month. In Britain, Black History Month was first celebrated in October 1987 as part of African Jubilee Year.
Black History Season is celebrated in several cities across the UK, celebrating different aspects of African and African Caribbean history, culture and life; and offering people of all cultures and faiths opportunities to learn more about African and African Caribbean culture.
