Westminster PCT will host a Peer Review visit on the evening of 21st January and all day on 22nd January 2009.
The theme of Westminster PCT’s peer review will be how to ensure health services in Westminster address the complexities of its diverse population. The peer review team will explore three key areas of work: access to GP services for BME communities, the PCT’s approach to CVD and the PCT’s approach to Diabetes. The review will look at these disease areas in the context of the barriers to access for particular communities. This may include site visits to Soho and/or Edgware Road/Church Street to gain an understanding of the issues for Chinese and Arabic/Middle-Eastern communities. Westminster PCT invites peer reviewers with an interest, or experience in the issues to be explored in the review. In particular, the PCT is keen to work with a team with relevant knowledge and experience and therefore encourage expressions of interest from:
- PCT Chairs/Management Team representation
- A PCT Non-Executive Director
- Commissioners using community intelligence
- Head of Performance
- Community Involvement/Engagement worker
- Programme lead
- Primary Care Data Analyst
- PCT reps working in complex, diverse inner-city areas
