Primary care access reports welcomed - Focus on BME patients’ experience

Two related reports on primary care access have been welcomed by the Government. They are from the National Improvement Team for Primary Care Access and Responsiveness, led by David Colin-Thome, and a group chaired by Professor Mayur Lakhani CBE. Both recommend 10 areas of best practice that should be shared across the NHS to improve the patient experience – with a particular emphasis on BME patients who currently report lower satisfaction than other groups.
